VETS Transition Class
The VETS Transition Course is designed to support entering student veterans in achieving academic success at Baylor. The course will assist student veterans in transitioning from military objectives to personal academic objectives. Building on the experience and academic abilities a student already has, this course will target the practical tools, information, strategies, critical thinking skills and self-knowledge necessary for succeeding academically and earning a Baylor degree.
All incoming students are required to take a New Student Experience (NSE) course. NSE courses provide the opportunity for first-semester students to form meaningful connections with each other, faculty, and resources in an academic community.
The VETS Transition Course fulfills the NSE requirement and is a one-hour, graded course.
** IMPORTANT** Some student-veterans may be required to take an NSE course for their specific major. It is advised (but not required) that these students take both their required NSE course as well as the VETS Transition Course. The information provided in the VETS Course is specific to resources for veterans and is invaluable in fostering veteran-student peer support.
Registration for this class is restricted.
