Our Namesake - Edith Walter (Baylor B.A. 2024)

Edith Walter served, while attending classes with her son Donald Walter, our Military Textbook Lending Library by dedicating countless hours throughout Summers and inbetween her classes to keep this library going. The library saves military-connected student over $6,000.00 every semester thanks to her incredible and selfless dedication.

Not only this, but Edith also served as a support for our military-connected community in many other ways - manning checkin tables with her dog Dizzy, starting (along with Donald Walter) our Military Writers Guild, and much more. Edith exemplifies our core values of service, leadership and community and we are eternally grateful.
