A Day of Tradition!
As you walk around McLane Stadium, you’ll find yourself surrounded by powerful symbols of Baylor’s proud legacy of military service. From the statues of Medal of Honor recipients Col. John Kane and Lt. Jack Lummus, to the shadows cast by one of our 147 Memorial Lampposts—each honoring a Baylor alumnus who gave their life in military service—these tributes are woven into the fabric of our campus. You’ll tailgate in Touchdown Alley, where our student veterans host the annual Battle of the Branches Veterans Day Celebration, and pass by the statue of Heisman-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III, the son of two Army veterans. Wherever you go, you’ll be close to reminders of Baylor’s enduring commitment to service.
Please join us as we celebrate this special community, each of your profound commitments to Baylor's mission of servant leadership, and cheer loud for our Bears! Sic Em!
