Service, Purpose & Reflection
Most veterans don't miss the job. They miss the mission: being part of something with weight, alongside people who counted on them. This is the slowest tier to pay off, and the one people most regret skipping.
Spiritual Life & Chapel
Who it's for: every undergraduate. Two semesters required, and they needn't be the same kind.
Nearly 70 sections, sorted by community and interest: vocation-specific, residential, campus ministry, special topics, and directed study.

VETS Chapel
Who it's for: veterans and veteran spouses with hard questions and nowhere to ask them.
A veteran-focused faith discussion group that fulfills one of your two chapel requirements. Built for people who have seen things and have real questions about them. Email Kevin to register.
Meet With a Chaplain
Who it's for: anyone carrying something they don't want to make clinical. Any tradition, or none.
Pastoral care that isn't counseling and isn't a class. One-on-one, no agenda, available at any point, not just when something is wrong.
Steppin' Out
Who it's for: anyone who misses working a detail with a team and a visible result.
Twice a year, a 40-year tradition. Thousands of Baylor students spread across Waco for a day of hands-on service: painting homes, clearing yards, working with local nonprofits. One of the largest collegiate service events in the country.
Local Service in Waco
Who it's for: anyone who wants people counting on them again, week after week.
Ongoing, not one-off. Team-based service with local churches and organizations: the closest thing to a standing mission with people who depend on you showing up.
Baylor Missions
Who it's for: undergraduate and graduate students wanting to use their discipline in service.
30+ trips, 20+ countries. Discipline-specific service trips stateside and abroad, including Texas disaster relief. Undergraduate and graduate teams both, with several trips built specifically for grad programs.
First Step
Who it's for: transfer and graduate students, not just freshmen. A low-commitment entry point.
A campus-wide day of service each fall, shortened for students starting their first year at Baylor, whatever their age or classification.
Study Abroad
Who it's for: anyone who has only ever gone overseas on orders.
Baylor ranks #5 in Texas for sending students abroad. For some veterans this is the first time going abroad by choice rather than by assignment. Your benefit may travel with you: confirm with the VA Education Benefits Office first.

Voices of VETS
Who it's for: anyone still working out how to tell their story, to others or to themselves.
Student veteran storytelling. Where veterans here tell their own stories in their own words. Reading them helps; contributing one helps more, and it tends to help the person writing it most of all.
