Events & Traditions
A weekly standing lunch, two annual traditions, and the onboarding events that bring new student veterans into this community in the first place.
Warrior Wednesday
Who it's for: anyone feeling isolated, and anyone too busy for a bigger commitment.
A standing weekly lunch. No agenda, no signup, all year. Show up, eat, meet people. The lowest-effort way to stay connected during a semester when everything else is loud.

Battle of the Branches
Who it's for: anyone who has ever argued their branch was better. Families welcome.
Each November. Branch vs. branch. VoB's hallmark Veterans Day event: competition for the Jack Lummus Trophy, named for a Baylor alum and Medal of Honor recipient.

Salute to Service
Who it's for: student veterans with spouses, kids, or visiting family.
Each fall. A football game and tailgate honoring student veterans and their families, run with the Baylor Alumni Network.

VETS Orientation
Who it's for: incoming student veterans and families; later, returning students as mentors.
Each August. Held at a ropes course. A half day for incoming student veterans and their families. Once you're past your first year, this becomes a place to show up as a mentor rather than a newcomer.

VETS Transition Class
Who it's for: new students who still owe the New Student Experience requirement.
Satisfies the NSE requirement. A New Student Experience section restricted to veterans and veteran spouses. Not open enrollment: email Kevin to register.
Everything on the Calendar
Who it's for: anyone who wants to plan ahead, or bring a spouse or kids along.
VETS events, all year: coining ceremony, End of Year Banquet, workshops, and everything in between.
