Veterans Mentorship Program
Welcome to the Baylor Veteran Mentorship Program
About the Program
The Baylor Veteran Mentorship Program empowers student veterans by pairing them with experienced mentors who provide guidance, share knowledge, and foster meaningful connections. Our goal is to help veterans thrive academically, professionally, and personally at Baylor.
Mentor and Mentee Roles
Mentors in the Baylor Veteran Mentorship Program are faculty and staff who commit to supporting student veterans through guidance in academics, career development, and community engagement. Mentors meet with their mentees at least once a month—either individually or during large group events—while maintaining professional and respectful communication. The program offers flexible scheduling and formats to accommodate busy schedules, and mentors receive recognition for their contributions. For detailed expectations and responsibilities, please see the full mentor guide:
Mentees in the Baylor Veteran Mentorship Program are student veterans paired with faculty and staff mentors to receive guidance in academics, career development, and campus engagement. Mentees meet with their mentor at least once a month, actively set and track goals, participate in group events, and complete reflection surveys throughout the semester. By engaging in the program, mentees gain support, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen their confidence and sense of belonging at Baylor. For full details on expectations and responsibilities, please see the full mentee guide:
